The Missouri Academic Coaches Association (MACA) would like to announce that the annual Missouri State Junior Varsity Quiz Bowl Tournament will be held on the campus of Helias High School on Saturday, April 10, 2010. This is a new central location and Helias has graciously agreed to host the tournament. MACA hopes that this will allow many more schools to compete especially those from the eastern side of the state since travel times will no longer be so long or require an overnight trip.
Each winner of MSHSAA District tournaments on April 17 will advance to play a best two-of-three sectional against the winner from a neighboring district to determine who advances to the state championships on May 7 (Classes 1 & 2) and May 8 (Classes 3 & 4).
Class 1 & 2 sectional winners will advance to the MSHSAA State Championships, which will be held Friday, May 7 on the campus of the University of Missouri in Columbia.
Class 3 & 4 sectional winners will advance to the MSHSAA State Championships, which will be held Saturday, May 8 on the campus of the University of Missouri in Columbia.
