We will be using an Invitational Series set written by National Academic Quiz Tournaments, and we will use the same game format as last year (20 tossups with 30 point rebounding bonuses, and tossups will have -5 point penalties for an early buzz that is incorrect, and powers, or an extra 5 points for a correct early buzz).

The Bill Currie Memorial Tournament, named in honor of a recently deceased faculty member, will be held on November 13th, 2010. This tournament will be a mirror of BATE; more information on that tournament can be found here: http://www.hsquizbowl.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=10426. Each packet will consist of 20 tossups, each with a 3-part non-rebounding bonus, with each part being worth 10 points. This tournament will feature negs--deduction of 5 points for answering incorrectly before the moderator has finished reading the question.

The Missouri Quizbowl Alliance is pleased to announce that it will host the fourth-annual NAQT Missouri Qualifier on March 5, 2011 in Columbia at Mizzou. We anticipate a field of 32 of the best teams in Missouri going head to head to compete for bids to the 2011 HSNCT and PACE NSC. A formal announcement and more details are pending.
