On Saturday, March 15th, MACA held the 2014 JV State Tournament at Rock Bridge High School. The state of Missouri was well represented by a very competitive field of teams. This tournament ran very smoothly and efficiently due to the wonderful staff that volunteered to help. We had many coaches, former players, and MACA officers that all worked to help staff the tournament.
This tournament is open to ALL freshmen and sophomores. Juniors and seniors are ineligible to participate.
Also, each team participating must provide a "qualified" staffer (score-keeper or moderator).

It is with great sadness that we forward the news of the recent passing of MACA vice-president Bob Brown, longtime member of the coaching staff at Richland High School. Bob had maintained his strong connections to our activity despite a series of strokes over the last several months. In the words of Bill Luce, the dean of Missouri academic competition, "Bob was very dedicated to Scholar Bowl and he will be missed."
